The Executive Committee of the Chemical Society of Thailand participated in a ceremonial floral tribute at the Royal Monument of His Majesty King Mongkut (Rama IV), Phra Siam Deva Maha Makuta Vidya Maharaj, revered as the “Father of Thai Science,” on the occasion of National Science Day 2026.
On 18 August 2026, representatives of the Chemical Society of Thailand, led by Professor Dr. Supa Hannongbua, Advisor to the President of the Chemical Society of Thailand, together with Associate Professor Dr.Ekasit Somsook, Associate Professor Dr.Supavadee Kiatisevi, members of the Executive Committee, and staff of the Society, attended the ceremonial floral tribute at the Royal Monument of His Majesty King Mongkut (Rama IV). The ceremony was held at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation in commemoration of National Science Day. The occasion served to honour His Majesty King Mongkut and to gratefully commemorate His Majesty’s immeasurable contributions to the advancement of science in Thailand and His enduring legacy as the “Father of Thai Science.”
